 Advertise job postings, source candidates, screen applicants, conduct preliminary interviews and coordinate hiring efforts with managers responsible for making the final selection of candidates.

1. SAFETY 

To support work place safety training and maintain workplace injury and fatality reporting.

1. EMPLOYEE RELATIONS 

To strength the employer – employee relationship through measuring job satisfaction, employee involvement and resolving employee conflict.

1. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT 

To train new employees to do their job also continue to grow and develop new skills in their job. This results in higher productivity for the organization. Training is also a key component in employee motivation.

• Staff employment and salary services including appointments, promotions, payment of salaries, leave and conditions of service.
• Information and workforce planning services to provide information and advice to assist other staff to forecast and take action in anticipation of future workforce trends.
• Policy development advice to the executive director and other heads of department on long term related human resource policy and innovative human resources strategy.
• Staff health & safety services including advice on the provision of a healthy, safe and productive environment for staff, injury management and workers compensation management through workers compensations fund.
• Workplace development advice on future practices to assist staff to achieve excellence results on council’s goals and implementations of national policies, including management of change, performance, leadership, staff development and training.
